Rev. Andrew Peabody

The Rev. Andy Peabody is the Director of Programs for MUST Ministries, a position which entails overseeing all of MUST’s feeding, clothing, financial assistance, health care, educational, and homeless outreach programs in Cobb and Cherokee Counties as well as all of MUST’s Housing Programs in Cobb, Cherokee, and Douglas Counties.

Education and Employment History:
Andy has been employed with MUST Ministries for more than 9 years, having previously worked with Action Ministries in its North Georgia Transitional Housing Ministry.
- 1988 Graduated from Cobb County’s McEachern High School
- 1992 Graduated from Emory College with Bachelor of Arts in History, Phi Beta Kappa
- 1993-1995 Pursued Graduate Studies at the University of Georgia’s Department of History while serving as a Teaching Assistant
- 1998 Graduated from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology with Masters of Divinity degree with honors
- 1999 Served as a VISTA (the “domestic Peace Corps” - Volunteer in Service to America) working with homeless and formerly homeless individuals.
Before assuming his current position, Andy served – at various times – as the Program Director for MUST Cherokee, MUST Marietta, & MUST Housing.

Among his many responsibilities in the community, Andy is active with the Cobb Community Collaborative’s Policy Council on Homelessness, serves as Co-Chair of the Cobb County Continuum of Care, and serves on the Housing Trust Fund's State Homeless Advisory Council with the GA Department of Community Affairs. Andy's service on local not-for-profit boards of directors includes:
- 2009-present Board of Directors, Interfaith Children's Movement (Vice-Chair 2009-2011)
- 2005-present Board of Directors, Cobb Disaster Recovery, inc. (Secretary - since 2005)
- 2002-2007 Board of Directors, Cobb Health Partners (Chair - 2006-2007)
- 2006-present Advisory Board, Camelia Home Health Care
Since 2006 Andy has taught a Contextual Education course for first year seminary students at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. He is a clergy member of the North Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is currently pursuing Doctor of Ministry studies at The Theological School at Drew University in Madison, NJ.
