Run by a small staff and an army of volunteers, the facility serves clients by providing two different programs depending on client needs and ability to live by house rules. All Hope House guests are provided services to meet both immediate needs (food, clothing, shelter) and long-term needs (employment assistance, support groups, etc.). Intake is conducted on a "first come, first served" basis. You must have a photo ID for entry. The Hope House also provides warm meals through the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen. Operating 365 days a year, the Loaves and Fishes Kitchen serves nearly 80,000 meals a year, most of which are purchased and prepared by civic, church, corporate and family volunteer groups.

Coordinated Entry

As a community, Cobb County organizations work together to match individuals and families experiencing homelessness to housing resources that best meet their needs. This process is called Coordinated Entry (CE). The process was developed to ensure that all people experiencing a housing crisis in our community have fair and equal access to limited housing resources. Those experiencing homelessness are given a standard assessment geared toward identifying the level of vulnerability and need. This assessment determines the best type of services available in Cobb for that household.

As part of CE, Cobb County residents experiencing homelessness or meeting the HUD definition of homeless are referred to one of two Points of Entry (POE). MUST Ministries serves as one of the POEs for assessment. The Center for Family Resources is the other agency. Both POE's follow the same processes and can provide CE assessments to individuals, adult-only families, or family households with dependent children. The CE housing assessment can be completed over the phone or in person. Please contact MUST Ministries at 470-713-5330 or CFR at 770-428-2601.
