Meet our Judges
W. Alan Jordan
Honorable W. Alan Jordan, Chief Judge, State Court of Cherokee County
Judge Jordan came to Cherokee County in 1986 as an attorney in private practice. He and his wife, Sharon, live in the Union Hill community. He became judge of the State Court of Cherokee County on Aug. 31, 2001.
Prior to becoming a State Court Judge, Judge Jordan served as an Associate Juvenile Court Judge in Cherokee County and served as the Municipal Court Judge of the cities of Woodstock, Marietta and Acworth, Georgia. He opened his first private practice law office in Cherokee County on Sept. 6, 1986 and practiced law in Woodstock and Canton for 15 years.
Judge Jordan is currently active in the Canton Rotary, has served as vice-president of the South Cherokee Optimist Club, vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cherokee Child Advocacy Council and co-chaired a committee to bring the first children's emergency shelter to Cherokee County. He has presided over the Cherokee County DUI Accountability Court Program for the past seven years.
He obtained both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia.
He does not know how to dance, but does know how to judge, so we’ll see what happens!

Jen Starks has a passion for helping people while cultivating deep personal connections along the way She utilizes a collaborative approach in her role as Director of Client Relations which brings together cross-disciplinary experts including our client's attorneys, CPAs, and the Boyer Ramey team to provide a standard to investment planning that is as warm & personable as it is professional & comprehensive.
With a background in social work, Jen's servant leadership approach touches everything she does at Boyer Ramey From organizing educational opportunities for our clients, to leading Boyer Ramey's community outreach programs, Jen truly does it all.
A native Hoosier, Jen graduated from Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor's in Psychology with an outside concentration in music before receiving her Master's in Social Work from Florida State University Having come from a background in community relations, Jen serves on the board of directors for the East Cobb Business Association, on the advisory board for Kennesaw's Chief of Police, and raises funds for local non-profits in her spare time. Jen is the reigning MUST Dance People's Choice Mirror Ball Trophy Champion!
Jen is a proud resident of Kennesaw, where she can be found wrangling her four children Rita, Tyler, Ian and Benjamin - especially in the great outdoors!
