Meet our Stars

Wilson Washington

I am dancing for MUST Ministries because I truly believe in the goodness of people. MUST Ministries' Mission states: "serving our neighbors in need... transforming lives and communities in response to Christ's call." In doing so, we are providing like services as businesses of the local community. I enjoy helping members and changing lives by using fitness as my instrument of service. When you're standing before the congregation and you take a moment to think about why you're speaking and where it's coming from... someone in the back always says... "let him use you!" What they mean by that is... don't think about it, give it to us from your heart, not your head. That's how I live my life and I believe that's what MUST Ministries exemplifies. So I'm in.

Allie Elson

I grew up in Woodstock, Georgia where you could find me running, hanging out with friends, or playing volleyball. I went on to play D1 Beach Volleyball for Georgia State (Go Panthers) and it was the most fun and transformative 4 years. I am currently an Executive Admin for TSA and feel so blessed to work for a company that cares about the community and its employees! I am innately competitive- but unfortunately was born with 2 left feet so thank goodness I can win the mirror ball without my dance skills. Nowadays my passions include hanging with friends and family, playing with my 2 goofy dogs, weightlifting, and coaching volleyball! I am excited to learn and grow from this experience, but more importantly, I am excited to have the opportunity to benefit MUST Ministries. I have a wonderful husband and family who support me through all my endeavors, and will no doubt be front row cheering me on…(and I am sure will cause some level of embarrassment as well).

Carolyn Polakowski

Carolyn Polakowski is a nonprofit and public relations executive with over 30 years of experience in leading corporate and nonprofit foundations, including the statewide Fragile Kids Foundation and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia's Caring Foundation. In 2015 she launched Cay Communications, LLC, a consulting group supporting nonprofits in all areas, from first establishing an organization to fundraising and grant writing, public and media relations, board development, public-private partnerships and more. She feels privileged to work with several of Cobb County's most vital charitable organizations, including Special Needs Cobb, Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, and Loving Arms Cancer Outreach. She lives in Marietta with her husband Bill and together they are facing their first year with an empty nest—all four children are out of the house leaving just Roddy, a Border Collie Lab rescue dog mix that she is confident is the best dog in Georgia. When not advocating for her beloved charitable groups you can find her gardening, running, crafting or doting on her neighborhood's preschoolers, for whom she always keeps a stash of popsicles, sidewalk chalk and bubbles!
